Summary:
My name is Rachel Johansson, I am a 4th year medical student at the University of California Davis completing my MD. I have passed USMLE Step 1 and have a strong background in teaching. I assisted in teaching a college level biochemistry course after achieving a distinction of top 10% in the course at the University of Florida where I completed two undergraduate bachelors degrees. I also tutored grades K-12 for two years during my undergraduate curriculum. In medical school I have facilitated teaching a course called Doctoring for our third year medical students where we prepare them for third year clerkships, USMLE Step 2, applying to residency, and fine tune their physical exam and history taking skills. My hobbies outside of medicine include biotech (I have worked for a San Francisco biotechnology company since my first year of medical school), horseback riding, and weight lifting.
